Rally Class Descriptions

Beginning Rally

Join our Beginner Rally class for a fun approach to Rally Obedience! This class will introduce you to AKC and ASCA Novice sign exercises, focusing on foundational skills such as heeling, engagement, and learning theory. We’ll emphasize making the Rally ring enjoyable for both you and your dog, ensuring a positive and rewarding experience as you build your skills and confidence in this dynamic sport.

Prerequisite: Dogs must have a trained sit & down and understanding of loose leash walking.

Rally: Novice Course Work

This class is the next step in our Rally Program. Put together all the Novice pieces that you learned in Beginner Rally! We will focus on Novice courses – how to maintain focus & heeling, how to seamlessly execute a course, and prep your team for trial.

Note* We will work on some of the AKC Virtual courses and you will have the ability to video your run for submission if time allows and you so choose. In person trialing is always encouraged, but AKC does accept virtual legs (not eligible for RNC).  Please look into this program if you want to pursue this as submission is the responsibility of the handler.

Prerequisite: Dogs must have food drive to enroll. Handlers must have thorough understanding of all AKC / ASCA Novice Signs and dogs are able to perform each sign.  Must complete Beginning Rally or have Instructor approval.

Intermediate Rally Exercises

You’re ready for the next step! Intermediate Rally Exercises will focus on the Intermediate signs for AKC. We will tighten up on the more difficult Novice Signs and introduce Intermediate skills to prep you for courses.

Prerequisite: Novice Rally Courses class unless otherwise approved by instructor.
