Meet Chris Brewer

Chris is an advocate of a strong foundation in agility based on positive reinforcement and clear communication between the handler and dog. Chris believes that the best compliment she can receive in the agility ring is that she and her dog are a team. Chris is a fun, knowledgeable, and experienced instructor and will help you become a team – whether that is in the agility ring or in your lifelong journey with your dog.

Chris has been involved with dog training since 2002 in the venues of obedience, therapy dog work, and agility.  Chris’ passion is the agility venue where she is able to combine her athletic background with her love for dogs.  Chris has achieved the Master Agility Championship on 3 of her Aussies and has earned a total of 13 AKC championships.   Chris competes on the national level with her Aussies Porter and Sculpin.    Both Porter and Sculpin have qualified for the NAC every year they have competed.   In 2019, Sculpin and Chris made the NAC Finals in Tulsa, OK in the competitive 20” class where they placed 7th out of over 400 dog/handler teams.   Chris has competed in the AKC Invitational with Porter and Sculpin in 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2020.  In 2016, Chris and Porter made it to the Invitational Finals as the top seed and finished in second place.  Not to be out done, in 2020, Sculpin finished as the top seed and won the event becoming the 2020 AKC Invitational Champion for the 20” class.

Chris is always looking for ways to improve her handling skills and strengthening her bond with her 4-legged kids.  Having her Aussies as beloved and healthy pets is her top priority.
