Agility Class Descriptions
Agility Foundation Class
For dogs 1 year and up! This class is all about learning the building blocks of Agility. From tight turns, obstacle and handler focus, and verbal cues, this class is designed to help create a better and stronger team. This is also a great class for dogs already doing agility but needing to repair holes in their foundation by going back to some of the basics.
Small Space Skills
Have you ever wanted to do agility in the comfort of your own home or yard? Are you tired of being stuck inside because of the cold winter days or scorching hot summer days bored with nothing to do? Then Small Space Skills is the class for you! In this class we will work on short and technical sequences. You will receive weekly course maps that you can take home and set up in your own yard with a couple jumps and a tunnel or 2. We will also work on skills you can teach in your living room. Dogs must be able to sequence 10 obstacles with off-leash control.
Jumping for Joy!
This class will be focused on Jumps, Weaves, and Tunnels! We will work on jumper’s courses to learn and improve Serpentines, Threadles, Back Sides, 180 and 90-degree sequences. Dogs must have completed Intermediate 2 and be ready to compete or already competing.
Fast and Clean European Style!
This class is open for dogs and handlers competing at a Master level in Agility. In this class we will work on European-style design courses. This class will have full courses and challenging sequences from big event courses used throughout the year.
Building Drive, Excitement, and Speed!
This class is for dogs and handlers with off-leash control! This class will help build your dogs drive by introducing excitement in training. By building their enthusiasm before taking on the exercises, they will be hyped and ready to run with speed. This training will help increase your dog’s attitude for agility. In this class we will work on short and fun exercises! We will build the most excitement possible by playing fun games!
Train The Brain!
This class is designed with fun exercises to help the handler remember courses and conquer a missed walk through. It introduces a mental step process called PAWS. We will take a look into what your dog sees by the information you are giving them while running the course and help you supply your dog with better information based on how you handle courses. By working on fun and challenging mental exercises we will help elevate your mental game! After completing the 6- week class you should be ready to run a course under any unforeseen circumstance.
Be the Boss of Your Cross!
Boss Your Cross! In this class we will work on front cross, rear cross, and blind cross sequences. It will aid in building your confidence so you can perform any cross on the course with certainty! Dogs must have completed Intermediate 1 and are trained on all equipment.
